Every now and then, something happens on the farm that reminds me why I do all this in the first place. This Hospice House fundraiser was held at Cheryl’s home, and let me tell you… that alone made it feel different.
But what really hit me was how much my parents’ passing changed the way I look at that final transition in life. My brother and I were blessed — both of our parents left this world quickly, without long suffering. But so many of my dear friends and customers aren’t given that ease. They’re doing everything they can to give their loved ones a peaceful, loving space that feels like home, not a cold hospital room. And that’s exactly why this event meant more to me than just a fundraiser.
And the best part? It’s still going strong until next Wednesday (day before Thanksgiving 2025), so there’s time to jump in and make a difference while snagging skin care that actually does something for your skin.
If you saw the video (if not watch below, you already know I kind of… accidentally tumbled into handcrafting goat milk soap. I wasn’t trying to create some grand skin care empire.
I was just trying to fix a problem the natural way, and before I knew it, that “little experiment” snowballed into a full line with intention, integrity, and ingredients you can actually pronounce (click here to see SHOP) What started as me trying to help myself and my own family turned into helping thousands of others—humans, and yes, their dogs too since 2014. (The stories about pups getting pampered with our Pawfectly Perfect Goat Milk Soap absolutely lit me up!)
A Day of Sales, Stories, and Straight-Up Inspiration
Let me tell you… selling products during this event was fun, but listening to the customers? That was the real show. People shared how their skin changed, even how their dogs quit itching after a bath with our goat milk soap— I LIVE for those stories. They remind me that this isn’t just skin care, it’s wellness, comfort, and a little boost of confidence—bottled.
Partnering With the Hospice House: A Blessing Beyond Words
And then there’s Cheryl, from the Hospice House. She shared what their nonprofit does, who they serve, and how deeply they impact families who are navigating one of life’s hardest moments. Listening to her speak… well, let’s just say I felt humbled. Blessed. Seriously blessed to be able to support them in any way.

Wrapping This Up Before I Get Too Mushy
This fundraiser has been one of those rare reminders that business can be personal, purposeful, and full of heart. I’m grateful for every customer who showed up, every story shared, every dog who enjoyed a fancy bath, and every person who helps spread the word about this cause.
Blessed? Absolutely.
Inspired? More than I expected.
Ready to keep going? Always.
