Essential Oils vs. Fragrance Oils
Have you ever used a product many times without a problem—and then suddenly your body said, “Nope, not today!”?
That recently happened to me after exposure to a fragrance oil. My eyes began burning and I experienced shaking. While I can’t say medically what caused every symptom, the experience sent me straight into research mode.
What I discovered was worth sharing.
The answers aren’t quite as simple as essential oils = good and fragrance oils = bad. Both natural and synthetic fragrance ingredients can cause sensitivities or allergic reactions in some people.
In this week’s Ask the Goat Lady, I’m sharing what I learned about essential oils, fragrance oils, sensitization, and why understanding the ingredients we put on our bodies matters.
