Have you ever looked at all those facial products and thought, “What in the world am I supposed to use first?” I have! 😂 Somewhere along the way, taking care of our skin turned into a 10-step routine with a different product for every little thing.
This month, I want to bring it back to simple.

🐐 Around the Farm

We Have New Residents!
Sometimes the best additions to the farm are the ones you never planned for. 💛
We recently received a call about a colony of bees that had fallen from a crape myrtle tree. The homeowner told us these bees had been building and living there for nearly two years.
He had called several people hoping someone would simply come and give them a safe home. Instead, he was told he would either have to pay to have them removed—or, even worse, that the hive would be killed.
That wasn’t going to happen if Grumpy Old Goat and Big Man Tommy had anything to say about it. 🐝😂
They headed over, collected the bees, and brought the whole crew back to Cajun Corral Farm, where they now have a safe place to settle in, prosper, and do what bees do best—pollinate our farm and, hopefully, make us some delicious honey! 🍯
The homeowner was so relieved and genuinely happy knowing the bees weren’t going to be destroyed. And we’re pretty darn happy to have them.
Welcome home, little ladies. You’ve Goat a new farm! 🐐🐝💛

September means the farm is starting to shift gears.
While Louisiana may not exactly understand the words “cool fall weather” yet 😂, we’re already thinking ahead. The winter garden is getting our attention, the bees are being prepared for the seasons ahead, and there’s always something growing, fermenting, preserving, or being made around here.
This is also the time of year when our Harvest Haven Homesteading Workshops really start getting interesting. We’re taking what’s growing now, preparing for what comes next, and sharing some of those old-fashioned skills that are simply too valuable to lose.
And, of course, all of this happens while the goats stand nearby supervising and wondering why none of these activities involve feeding them. 🐐
That’s life around Cajun Corral Farm—there’s always something to learn, something to make, and somebody with four legs trying to “help.” 💚

Facial Care Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated
Have you ever looked at a facial-care routine and thought, “You want me to put HOW MANY things on my face?” 😂
In our latest Ask the Goat Lady, I’m talking about something I hear all the time—facial care has gotten way too complicated.
I share a little of my own experience with those long, multi-step routines and explain how I approach our Goat Milk Facial Collection differently. Cleansing, moisturizing, exfoliating when needed, an occasional mask, and a few drops of Goatox can be a whole lot simpler than a bathroom counter covered in products.
Good facial care shouldn’t leave you more confused than when you started.
